German’s Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Hopes to Further Expand the Chinese Market

        On the 11th day, Karl Martin Welk, President of Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (VDMA) said in Frankfurt, Germany that German’s machinery and equipment manufacturing industry will seize the opportunities brought by China’s further expansion and opening-up, and further expand the Chinese market.

        Welk made the remarks at the annual press conference of VDMA held in that day. He added that unilateralism and trade protectionism will have negative impact on the German’s machinery and equipment manufacturing industry

        The latest data from VDMA shows that the export amount of German’s machinery and equipment manufacturing industry in the first three quarters of 2018 increased by 5.2% on the year-on-year basis and reached EUR 131.9 Billion (EUR 1 ≈ USD 1.13). Wherein its export amount to China was EUR 14.23 Billion, increasing by 11.4% on the year-on-year basis. China became one of the most important export markets of German’s machinery and equipment manufacturing industry

        VDMA has over 3200 member enterprises, and is one of the most important industry associations in Europe’s industrial sector.
